I really, REALLY wanted to have a stellar experience here. As it was, it was just....OK.
To be fair, the service was OUTSTANDING. Our server was friendly and professional, and made us feel welcome.
The food was....well, it wasn't bad. But it wasn't excellent...it was just average. The salad bar, while fresh and good, was a little underwhelming.
I chose the coconut shrimp for my entree, and, while the shrimp were HUGE...there just wasn't a ton of flavor to them. My wife had crab cakes, and they simply tasted, to me, like frozen crab cakes you'd get at the grocery.
Again, not a terrible experience. We certainly were full when we left, but I do think there are much better choices in Madison.
