An enjoyable and aesthetically pleasing contemporary shopping area in Pittsburgh's South Side. This place was futher enhanced by a picture perfect 85°F sunny day today. I find SouthSide Works, shopping aspect aside, to be incredibly...pleasant. The roadways, the signage, the landscaping, the children (and, ahem, my boyfriend) frolicking in the Town Square water fountain in front of The Cheesecake Factory--all things that put a big smile on my face. A beautiful setting. The guest services office is located between the Puma store and White House Black Market, so be sure to hit it up for maps and brochures. Inexpensive parking garages as well as street/meter parking. I'm really intrigued by the condos and lofts that I noticed in the heart of it all. East Carson Street is pretty cool in general, but the ability to live in the middle of SouthSide Works takes it to another level. Not much to dislike about this area, at least not in my eyes.
