French Connection is one of those contemporary fashion stores that you walk by in a mall and and when you peek inside it's modern elegant and stand offish. It even smells expensive. However, I encourage you to at least "peek-shop" a term I coined to describe my own shopping habits which means, "I'm just browsing". Clothes are classic but trendy from dressy to casual. It's a mix between Banana Republic and J.Crew but with a little more sparkle. I loved so many things in this store and the label can also be found in upscale anchor stores like Neiman Marcus or you can shop online. You can find both men and women's clothes here along with accessories. The handbags that I saw in the window displays are what brought me in. Less than $100. They are a U.K. based company and are known for their casual line with a controversial label FCUK, an acronym for French Connection United Kingdom. This "look at me twice" label is stamped on their jeans which run about $80 to over $100. I hesitated buying them for my hubby because I pictured my children trying to pronounce this prominent label. So I saved myself $100 and went to the gap with cheaper jeans and no odd looking labels!
