I went on a Tuesday night and it was busier than I expected. I'm not someone who has ever gone to bars much and I explained that to the bartender and he could probably see that I was uncomfortable. He did help me pick out a beer and it wasn't bad. However, once he sold that to me he didn't seem to want to take any time to tell me about the place or to try to make me feel any more welcome or comfortable. I was alone and tried to mingle with some of the people there. Maybe it was just the crowd that night or because I probably still seemed uncomfortable after getting my beer, but nobody was interested in talking except to the people they were already there with. I wasn't enjoying myself and just decided to leave. I had heard breweries were a good place to go if you're trying to get out and meet new people, but as far as Birdsong goes this was not the case.
