On Thursday October 22nd, 2015 at around 4:30pm, sooner or later, I proceed to take my car through the car wash tunnel as I have purchased a Fast Pass due to the many times I have just paid 5.99 for a basic wash, rinse and dry. I normally wash my car once or twice a week, depending on the day or weather. I am very particular with how I take care of the exterior of my vehicles, I have only decided to purchase the Fast Pass because I hear their water does not have calcium deposits and does not leave hard water spots and is more of a convenience for me. I noticed Frankie, who I normally see every time I take my car through, standing at the podium where they dial in the type of wash you'll be getting and my Fast Pass was for a basic + express Wash, Rinse and Dry, I do not want anything else touching my car. I noticed as I was in the tunnel, that I was receiving triple foam and Rain-X, which isn't what I purchased and some other things. I was receiving someone else's wash at that point. At the end, I never receive Tire Shine and when the green light flashing GO started, I drove forward and heard a loud scrape. My car is lowered a few inches, this is why I only get the basic wash rinse and dry, because I know for a fact that automated car washes aren't safe in any way, especially the tire machine at the end. I inspect my vehicle every day when I am at work or out and about, since this is a leased vehicle. I did not get out of my car when I heard the noise because I assumed that the wheel had got nicked or something, because I have came out of the tunnel in the past and have noticed my valve stem caps, the tip, have been cut off. I came to find out at 5:37pm that same day, an hour later after leaving Cobblestone Auto Spa, that there was a fresh straight cut along my passenger side rocker panel of my car, paint was peeling off and had been cut very deep going through the clear coat. I also noticed there was a dent that came along with the scratch. This was what that loud noise was that I had heard leaving the tunnel.
I visit the business again on Friday, October 23rd, 2015 around the same time, 4:30pm, sooner or later. I ask to speak with the GM, Shaun, and he claims that the damage was caused by another vehicle. Thinking illogically, the damage on my vehicle as it currently sits was indeed not caused by another vehicle, because there would be damage above the rocker panel and along side my door, which isn't the case. A car could not physically make an impact that low on any vehicle and cut into the paint like it has. My significant other used to work for this company and has mentioned to me that there has been many occurrences where vehicles have been damaged in their automatic car wash tunnel. He had told me that there was nothing he could do for me. I believe the GM at this location is very ignorant and illogical and does not admit fault and believes everything to be safe. A business should not be running if they provide shady services and cover up their mistakes. I have been told many things that have happened at this location. I should not be paying out of pocket for damages I did not cause to my vehicle. I am very dissatisfied with the way the GM had spoken with me and that he absolutely could not do anything for me. That just does not work for me. My 1 star rating is for the GM. Everything else is great.
