Finally tried Big Bone BBQ this past weekend after hearing tons of friends and family talk about how amazing it is. Small restaurant, simply furnished. Smell of smokiness throughout. Friendly staff. Ordered the onion rings starter and the combo meal with wings and ribs done in original sauce. To be honest, I think after all the hype, I had my expectations set too high. Don't get me wrong - it was tasty, fresh, and huge portions. But my ribs were not fall off the bone - not sure if this is the way Southern style ribs are supposed to be - or if I just got a bad batch of them. I pretty much had to knaw my way through the meat. Wings were alright. Coleslaw and beans were mediocre, nothing to write home about. I would probably come here again and maybe try a different sauce on the wings? And hope that my ribs are a bit more tender.
