5 stars, because in a world lacking customer service, this holiday inn reminded me of what its like to be cared for as a customer.
We were given a deal from a resort (Desert Inn club) and were told we would have a suite with 2 separate living areas (2 boys 2 girls on this trip). We wanted the girls to have some privacy. The resort made it seem as though we would be staying on the strip, have an awesome room, and great service. Turns out, the stay would be carried out at this very holiday inn, which was off of the strip. Although it was a bit misleading, we were still excited about a free hotel.
Well when we got to our room, it turns out it was not a suite at all. It was a single room with double beds. Me and my friend decided this wasn't the ideal situation for us. So we anticipated going to the front desk and just paying for another room.
Well fortunately Nick (one of the managers) was the most amazing customer service rep, and realized that many patrons were leaving the holiday inn disgruntled because of the Desert Inn's misleading ways. Because of this, he gave us our own room FREE OF CHARGE! Maybe that seems excessive for a 5 star review, but considering there were no negative points about the room or the hotels service itself, the holiday inn is fully meriting of a 5 star review.
