I love the double down. Let me just say that again before I start the review. Really hammer it home..I love the double down. Now that's over with - here's why; It is the most welcome site for me, on any visit to Vegas. It breaks up the endless, lacking in personality casino bars. It's a breath of....I won't say fresh, but air at least. One that hasn't been pumped in to the room to keep you gambling. There's pool tables. There's a photo booth. There's a few little card machines (it is Vegas after all) it serves liquor and beer. It plays loud, noisy, offensively perfect rock music. It's near the inappropriately named "hard rock hotel" - and does everything that the HRH should be doing musically. (Last time I was there, two of my friends got thrown out for knocking a table over....but even that took three polite reminders - this is a quality, dive bar) In summary. If you like rock music. If you like booze. If you're not sold on the whole Vegas thing, and need an escape? It's here.
