Came here on a Wednesday night for a celebratory dinner with a friend (but I've been here a million times). We sat at the bar and we were promptly greeted and had our order taken. I ordered the 1/2 French toast, an egg and the cheese grits. My friend ordered the same but with bacon instead of grits. Our waitress was warm and friendly and the other waitresses and waiters chatted us up too. I don't know if it was all of the chatting and laughing but our food came out in a flash. Everything was hot and delicious. Now anyone can cook an egg but perfectly executed grits and French toast are hard to find. The french toast was crisp on the outside and fluffy inside with the right balance of egg and milk and cinnamon. The grits were creamy at the cheese was already melting when they arrived which means they were hot and fresh. The price wasn't bad for all of the food we ordered $13.77 for my half. As always, Midnight didn't disappoint. Wish I made it here more often. Can't wait to come back.
