Great sandwiches, everything's freshly made on site...what's not to love? We got a corned beef sandwich and a turkey rachel. Plus latkes, an Israeli salad and a black and white cookie. Gotta get the black and white cookie. The corned beef was delicious. It was soft like butter, not too salty and stacked about 1 1/2" - 2" high on the rye bread. I asked just for brown mustard and my only criticism of the sandwich was there could have been more mustard. Luckily, there's a squeeze bottle of the good stuff on every table. The turkey rachel was piled high, as well. Plenty of turkey and cole slaw. Unlike the corned beef, however, this one had a little too much dressing on it. My friend had to eat the sandwich primarilly with a fork and knife...which I thought was a great idea anyway. The Israeli salad was great. Even though tomatoes are not in season in January, they were still quite tasty. They soaked up the dressing like a sponge. The cucumbers were firm and the onions were pungent without being overpowering. The latkes were good...but not great. It looks like they precook a bunch of them and then throw them on the grill when ordered to warm them up. They weren't as crispy as I like them but they taste very good. We've eaten there several times before. EVerything we've gotten was delicious. And compared to other delis in Squirrel Hill, the size of the sandwiches is almost astronomical. I didn't get it yesterday but I've had the tuna before. Its hands-down, the best tuna salad I've ever had that wasn't homemade. They put eggs, onions and celery in it. Its phenomenal. The service is great, too. Everyone is friendly and the gals are quick in clearing off your table and bringing you your food. This place is as good as it gets in town if you want deli sandwiches.
