It gives me no pleasure to write a negative review about Flooring America. I was happy with the work they did and I love the new tile floors and new baseboards they installed throughout my home in mid-May. But a couple of weeks ago I noticed the sound of water running in my wall between the shower and the closet. I realized that there was a leak and called a plumber. When he opened the wall up he found a nail in one of the pipes that go to the shower. the section of the nail that entered the pipe was corroded but the rest of the nail was almost new; after four months it had finally started to leak. I showed my insurance adjuster, my handyman and others, the damage. It's obvious to all that the nail could only have come from the workmen who were installing the new baseboards in the closet using a very strong pneumatic compression nail gun. You can see where the nail went through the baseboard and was forced into the pipe. I spoke with Sid at Flooring America and asked him to come over and take a look, & he sent Fernando his crew leader who had installed the floors. Fernando came right over and was very nice but of course would not admit to anything. When I again asked Syd to come take a look himself, he refused. Flooring America is refusing to take any responsibility. I'm dismayed that i am having to pay $650 for the plumber & $1000 deductible with my homewoners insurance. I had been assured that the work was guaranteed.
