A popular Italian bakery offering everything from breads to cookies to delicate pastries. Everything is baked in house and and smells are a testament to that!! We were offered a sample of freshly baked amaretto nocciola (a type of hazelnut cookie) and we both nearly died at the first bite. It was slightly crisp on the outside but soft and chewy inside, perfectly sweet and absolutely delicious. If you want to try one thing, definitely try this little gem. I was attracted to some packaged heart shaped cookies that reminded me of butterfly cookies from my childhood. They were unexpectedly denser and crunchy, less sweet but flavored with poppy seeds. The little package of four cookies came out to be $8, so definitely not a thrifty purchase but worth it for the quality and experience. The space itself is small (one long narrow bar to balance your purchases on) but there are alot of unique and unexpected choices to peruse. We spotted squid ink bread, cookies of all different shapes and textures, and plenty of people ordering delicious looking sandwiches. If you get bored looking at the wares, you can watch the actual baking that seems to be consistently occurring behind the glass dividers. A great little place for a snack or a quick delicious meal.
