It's absurd to say I refused to pay retail and in fact I have at high end jewelers London Gold, Michael's, Jared and others over the years. I used this business for repairs & refurbishments and the stock was never to my particular liking. Jack did not pay cash for the reasons mentioned and nothing was said EVER about 20% off. I didn't force Troy to say he would offer me a full refund (I did not ask for this) then rescind the offer when I called to accept after muttering something about he no longer had the cash, his wife would be angry at him (why, did she know something was amiss? - I only speculate because I thought the behavior was odd) and then flipping out, raising his voice, swearing and hanging up on me. He may have gotten the ring done in a rush but after I got over the initial excitement of the gift (prior to seeing the receipt) I noticed the finishing was what I consider substandard and the ring was brought back to be properly finished. Of course Jack didn't say anything because he knew what had transpired and we assumed there must be a problem over there. Troy - You may want to ask yourself, wouldn't this have gone differently if you would have listened to the call when I told you how I was feeling, not to respond then and let's revisit to discuss rather reacting as you did, losing your composure (an understatement and see my original 3 points in the review).
Troy - You may want to ask yourself, why did I never purchase anything from your store and only utilized your business as I did (without your frame of judgment that you think I never pay retail). Troy, why did I refer business to you whenever I could including bringing people directly to your store to authenticate pieces I sold (this was because of our relationship I wanted to show support and bring potential customers to you - even though your inventory was not something I would buy I know there are a multitude of tastes.)
Troy, why did Jack come to you out of all the jewelers in the city? The answer is solely because of my relationship with you. Who I am talks positives about people not negatives. I had NOT told him what I thought about what I perceived as your personal taste in jewelry or the not so great comments I heard over the years from more than one person I referred to you.
