I was lured back to Sauceman's after seeing an Instagram post of ridiculously good looking brisket, bbq, collards, hush puppies, and the like. I was very happy that I acted on my urge to go back after many many years. I used to live closer to the location, so I had order take out a time or two. I remember it was pretty good, but not as great as it was tonight! The brisket was as tasty as it gets. Nice bark and packed with flavor. My child could not stop eating it! The slaw and collards were notable, and since I started this draft, I have gone back and ordered again, and it was consistent in the seasoning and appeal. The sides are definitely memorable, which you do not always get at a BBQ establishment. The BBQ is a true Eastern N.C. style barbecue, and was perfectly prepared. The self serve pork rinds in a popcorn machine, while you wait for you food is a fun touch!
