Finally tried out Lilianas after a couple years of wanting to stop in especially since me and my boyfriend are huge fans of Cajun food. Wish I would have listened to my friend who said it was overpriced and not worth it. I think that says it all. I ordered a mint julep and it tasted like straight bourbon, no complaints with a strong drink but if I'm paying for $8 for a mint julep I kind of want it to taste like one. Our server was very nice no complaints there she switched it out immediately. We ordered the shrimp n grits..meh nothing to rave about the grits were a little dry, there was some sort of gravy on it that was pretty good but just drizzled on and again $12 and the portion is smaaaallll. I ordered the shrimp creole and was very disappointed it basically tasted like Tostitos salsa over rice with some diced veggies. My boyfriend ordered the Lilianas pasta and again eh, nothing great, he's not a complainer when it comes to food and he even said it was missing something and the noodles were "weird." The only part I liked was the complimentary cornbread with the jalapeño butter that was delicious but overall I'm a little bummed just because the bill came back at $70 plus tip and I left still hungry and totally unsatisfied. Again nothing wrong with the service or cleanliness but I definitely wouldn't waste my money again here.
