I first visited Global on our trip to Toronto/GTA in June to get some treats for my dog, Murray, and the dogs of the dogsitter who had been watching him. They have a great selection of grain-free treats - many of which are made in Canada. Some of them are on the pricey side, though you can definitely get a good-sized bag for under $7. This time around, we took Murray with us to Canada but forgot his dematting rake. This proved to be a problem, since he's been matting up the wazoo. So off to Global to find one. They didn't have exactly the one we wanted (he's a little guy so we were looking for a little rake) but they did have one that would do the job. We also picked up some treats for our friend's dog and again were amazed by the selection of high quality treats. The rake and other grooming supplies were 1/2 off an already reasonable price, so I felt like I robbed the darn place when I left! While we didn't have to buy food ourselves, my mother-in-law was able to find Murray's food (Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream) in advance of our arrival here. They also carry other quality dog foods, including Orijin and some raw varieties. The prices are a little higher than in the US, but so is everything else thanks to importing/exchange rates, so the prices are not shocking even for us.
