I ordered a pair of tennis shoes from All-About Tennis after finding them online -- when i couldn't find them locally. They were helpful on the phone and assured me i could return them for a full refund if they didn't fit; i easily placed the order online. They arrived within a normal, but not quick timeframe.
Unfortunately, they didn't fit. Life was busy, and i got to the post office three weeks later to send them back. Next, i got a call saying 'the internet guy is out, but i can offer a credit card refund'. The refund amount was $22 less than what i paid. When i asked about it, the employee was quite rude...saying things like 'you don't get free shipping when you don't buy anything and you didn't buy anything'. (so i paid for shipping both ways). When i asked why shipping was $22, when i paid only $5 to ship back-- he told me there was a 15% restocking fee. i told him i hadn't been informed of this when purchasing, and he said 'i only charged you 10% but can charge you more if you like'.
Really, it was the poor attitude, not the policy that was a problem. The guy was rude and snarky, and didn't have a service orientation. If he'd been nice, no problem, i'm not a challenging customer. The call left a bad taste in my moutn, i wouldn't order from All About Tennis again as a result.
