I am a very frequent traveler and overpaying for a bad hotel experience is one of my pet peeves but I have to say I was very happy with this choice. The staff is definitely friendly and helpful - 5 stars for them. The room is a little dated but overall the entire property offered everything I would expect in a mid-market hotel. Nice bed, computer desk, decent number of power outlets, bathroom was clean. Nothing to complain about. A co-worker stayed at the Westin and felt I got the better deal. An easy 5 minute walk to restaurants, 10 minutes to the nearest Starbucks. I have to dock one star for the area. It is a little rough with a few homeless people sleeping on the street. I bought one guy a coffee but I would think some people might feel nervous around them. That's not the hotel's fault though.
