  • Don't be fooled by the BBB rating of A+ because they have had 181 complaints. Understand that the BBB is a paid service. The only way you can get an A+ (A plus) is if the vendor PAYS the BBB a FEE. Otherwise, the highest an unpaid account can get is an A- (an A minus). Before I met Great Lakes two months ago, I had All Student Loan. All Student was quite superior but then they sold this serviced account to Great Lakes. What a fiasco! Either All Student failed to share my ACH data or Great Lakes dropped the ball. Additionally, neither All Student nor Great Lakes sent me notice of this happening. I found out during monthly review of my credit file. My finances have had to change radically to prevent negative credit reporting because this transaction didn't transfer over my information properly.
