Dear Vic,
I brought three friends to Cafe V for lunch today and while you seem to have a four star rating I could only give it three stars.
I ordered the liver and onions and while the flavor was great and the liver was very tender, it was the thinnest piece of liver I've ever seen in my life.
The baked potato that my friend and I had came with margarine. Margarine? Really Vic? Who uses margarine especially in a restaurant of this caliber?
My friends Chicken Piccata was excellent so no complaints there. The other diner's Salisbury steak looked like and, she said tasted like canned gravy.
The coffee was served with 2% milk. Vic, come on - 2% milk? Whole milk would've been bad enough. I don't think I've ever had anything but cream in a restaurant in 20 years.
The service was outstanding, I wish I could remember the server's name. Very personable, very efficient and did her job well. That's why I gave it three stars along with the fact that the dinners were pretty good.
So how about you pop for butter, real butter, and cream for the coffee? It just might bring me back again.
Sorry Vic I wish I could've given this five stars like I did when we came to VICS American cuisine. That was definitely five stars. Maybe I'll give this another try in a couple of months.
