I'd don't enjoy giving poor reviews but I have to say something to save someone from trying the wrong things here.
Drinks: 3.5/5 - nothing particularly special here. The menu is gorgeous, but their drinks are average. If you're in chinatown and looking for a place to cool down or to fulfill your craving this will get the job done.
Desserts: 4/5 - some are tasty, others are a little bland, it's really a hit or miss situation
Hot food: 0.5/5 - Let's say the best part about their hot food is that yes... it comes hot. Other than that the food is bland, tasteless and some may have a weird texture. I did not enjoy their taiwanese chicken with noodle. I did not enjoy their mince meat on rice, and I cannot vouch for any other hot meal that they offer on their menu. Please do yourself a favour and avoid the hot food here at all costs. Save your money and spend it somewhere else along Spadina.
Cost: 3/5 - more expensive than other tea houses, but it is in the heart of our chinatown so guess it's kind of expected.
Service: 4/5 - their service is good here. Greeted and served with a smile is all I can ask for from a teahouse of this size. Since it's so small you can always catch them when you need something :)
Ambience: 4/5 - its such a cute place to eat. I wish this could have been a gem in Toronto but unfortunately some work needs to be done with their food.
