| - I have purchased two cars from Chapman, each with a negative experience. The first time I purchased was out of necessity and a program they offered. I went back to purchase another car due to my previous one being totaled from Phx hail storm. I ended up buying a 2010 HHR, Jackie the sales lady was very nice and straightforward. When I had to go to finance, that is when the niceness ended. Travis Hart was the finance guy that helped me. I had very specific requirements, how much I wanted to pay a month, how much down payment I had. I was not unreasonable, and my final request was I did not want to leave with a car only to be told 3 days later they needed more money or bring the car back. Well that is exactly what happened. I had everything I needed when I left the lot with the car, put an extra $500 down, and even raised the monthly payment by about $30. About a week later with the threat of having me arrested for stealing the car I was told I had to come back they wanted more money, a higher monthly payment I needed to have a cosigner, blah blah blah. I was so upset, didn't know what to do as the towing company had already taken my other vehicle for the insurance claim. They basically bullied me with the threat of being arrested into more than what I was comfortable paying. The car also needed repairs that took them over two weeks to complete, the alarm/remote is still not working properly, and now my key is stuck in the ignition with the car on. I will NEVER return to CHAPMAN Chevy ever!!!
