1st experience (AND LAST). My visit started positive. They took my animal back right away. They informed me that the charge was $100 to see the doctor. They also said for $50 they could start her on pain meds. I agreed. I let them know that I was worried about cost and they wanted to know my budget. I told them around $300 to figure out what was wrong. They instantly jumped to offing financing. I knew at that moment that it was all about money. I had not even seen a doctor yet.
The doctor came in and discussed the need for X-rays. She told me about $300 more for X-rays. With no choice I agreed. They determined that my Animal did need a procedure the required GA and more X-rays. They gave me a quote for $1200. The doctor proceeded to tell me that I had 24hours to get this injury fixed for best result and that I should have no issues finding a vet to help me in the morning for less charge. With that advise, I planned on returning to my vet in the morning. They were going to send me with X-rays and discharge instructions but not before giving me another $50 charge for 2 doses of pain meds to hold my kitty over.
The next morning I called 6 vets. Three were not comfortable doing the procedure , 2 did not have availability and one offers to see me but didn't agree with the treatment suggested. At that point I called this office back asking to just get the procedure don't there. I was told I would be rechecked at the $100 fee and that they would recharge for X-rays being it had been 12 hours. WHAT!!!! After asking to speak to a manager, I was given answers like we might be able to do the procedure but might not. More charges might apply due to the doctor you'd be seeing. No real answers. I had to ask for the doctor to just glance at my chart to see if they could do it. At that point I was told they would not do the procedure the doctor planned because they didn't agree with it. So I spent $500 to get bad blurry X-rays 3 doses of pain meds and a treatment plan that they wouldn't stand behind.
I will be complaining on all social media sights, the BBB, and veterinary board.
