Full disclosure: I am from Detroit and had no connection to either team playing. I like baseball and try to visit as many stadiums as possible.
The location is awesome! Right on the river and great view of downtown no matter where your seats are. We had seats in the upper deck and had s great view of the Clemente bridge, River and skyline. The food choices were great. Aside from your standard ballpark fare there was little sit down places and craft beer bars just to name a few. The event staff was also friendly. The usher in our section was very friendly and offered to take our pictures without us even asking.
I do have three complaints however:
1. No cup holders at the seats. Most of he stadium I've been to offer this.
2. Do courses were too jammed with people. Real narrow walk ways this was partially due to people walking and people in lines with no indication of whether they were in line or not.
3. The lack of fan "experience." Not many interactive fan moments. Mainly this is regard to mascots. It was almost as if they didn't want you to meet the mascots. Wanted to get a pic with the pierogies. Nope. After they run, they're done. No walking around in concourse or any of that. Same with the Parrot. Post game he was on field and then swiftly whisked away and nowhere to be found during game.
Overall good experience, and very clean facility.
