  • I had nothing but bad experiences with this place. They suck you in with great promotional pricing, but then they don't tell you the "catch;" be careful what you sign up for! Their beds are dirty and you frequently see gobs of lotion and hair stuck in the bulbs. The floor of the standup beds are also really greasy. Besides all that, the staff is completely inept. The first time I went tanning at HT I only wanted to go 6 minutes, but the guy working the front desk put me in for the full time. Good thing I noticed; I could have been seriously burnt! Another one of their staff members told me that I should upgrade to their most expensive beds because tanning in those beds isn't "bad for you." What?? I think we all know the risks of using tanning beds and the fact that the staff tells you "they aren't bad for you" is shocking. I wrote a letter to Hollywood Tans customer service telling them about all of this. I got a response from their corporate office that said, "The management of the Huntersville HT will be contacting you shortly." I never heard anything from them.
