We came to Taste for a "double date" night with friends. Love the hip vibe and atmosphere. Service for the jam-packed restaurant (Restaurant Week) was slow but friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Though it took a while until we managed to order our dinners, we were smart enough to order an appetizer (pomme frites) to munch on as we sipped our red wine and martinis.
Overall, the dinner was very good. Roasted Chicken breast with asiago pine nut crust and Chardonnay cream sauce was very testy. Green beans were blanched, so they had crunch. Roasted red and golden beet salad was good, but this side dish had more than enough to share with a friend.
Hubster enjoyed his pappardelle, down to the very last spoonful.
Portions were fair, food quality fresh and tasty, and the wine selection was very generous.
