| - When I moved back to Pittsburgh from NYC a few years ago I couldn't find a stylist I genuinely liked, so I would hop in my car and drive the 7 hrs to Greenpoint to get a cut I knew I would enjoy. That's how strongly I feel about proper haircuts! I have wavy, "mind of it's own," hair that I let air dry, so for me a good cut is imperative; a good stylist can make or break me. I've finally found someone I genuinely like in Leah. I've been to see her a couple times, and as she told me on my first appointment, "after a few tries I really find my groove," and she really has. I really love my hair, and chatting with her during my appointment is a delight. Plus, in comparison to New York prices this is damn steal! Also, it's so comfortable there. It doesn't just feel like a salon (I HATE that stark lighting, eternally smells like spray, setting), and everyone from the front of the house to the back is lovely. My one slightly negative comment is that sometimes they aren't taking new clientele (I initially tried to get in a year before and got so frustrated I just scrapped trying), and it can be quite the wait for a first appointment - just an FYI. But it's worth it, so keep trying!
