I want to give this 4 stars I really do but seeing that I can't give it 3.5 stars so I am giving it 4 stars. This was my first time here. It was a cold Tue night and I was in the mood for poutine. I was meeting a friend in the Bloor & Bathurst area and wanted to go to Smoke's but my friend recommended Poutineville.
I loved the place! It was a sit in place and they have alcohol! We shared a large Poutineville, their house specialty - hand crushed potatoes, with fresh cheese curds and mozzarella, topped with our slow home cooked braised beef and red wine gravy.
The flavour was good. I like my poutine saucy and cheesy. The poutine was saucy but not enough cheese. My other pet peeve is that I like my poutine hot and this was warmish. I still enjoyed it. My friend and I also shard the dulce de leche cheesecake. It was good, not too sweet and the portion was perfect for 2 people. I hate huge desserts as I am not a dessert fan.
I will be back. I loved the atmosphere and I can't wait to pair my poutine with a glass of wine.
