rev:text	There are few places to get coffee at ungodly hours if we discount Starbucks and 24 hour donut shops, which we should. My first visit was a bit awkward, almost like my first go at a Japanese noodle house. Almost no one there looks like me, the music is utterly foreign and the menu is bewildering. Just like that noodle house the first visit to Darak will bring you back and the second makes it home. Is the coffee amazing? No. Sorry, that is the Californian in me that knows there is better but it is good and they nail one of my biggest measures of coffee shops, milk temperature! I want to drink my coffee right now and still have my taste buds for tomorrow, it's a small request and Darak does well with it. Why come here for B- coffee other than late hours? Atmosphere. I'm not big on the VW bus tent but it's there for you. My fav is the navy blue chair that you nearly have to climb out of because it's so weathered in the best way. The serving trays are a nice bit of kitsch, complete with toys. There is just the right amount of quiet here too, even when there are chatty people around there always seems to be a cozy corner to hide in. How did i forget to mention the black sesame macaron? Yum. If you are in the southwest part of town and suffering through the insomnia brought on by working swing shift at a retail job come extend the night at Cafe Darak.
