| - Excellent! We visited on a Saturday morning around 9:30 AM and found a lineup of people waiting for fresh pastries. We didn't mind waiting - the atmosphere is quaint and simple, but so pleasant. The smells of fresh bread and brewing coffee, smiling staff, friendly chatter - all made for a great, casual, laidback environment during our morning stroll through the neighbourhood.
Note that the place isn't very big, so during its peak hours, it's very, very crowded. It's a small, bustling shop with around 2 to 3 small tables, so this is more of a take-out place unless you manage to score a table.
We ordered just one piece of the famed Kouign Amann and a Latte. Both were absolutely delicious. The pastry was soft, a great texture, perfectly sticky with layers of sugar and butter. It was an absolutely treat. Great coffee too! No complaints at all for our brief visit here, and definitely recommended regardless of whether you're a tourist or local.
For our Kouign Amann and a Latte, we paid around $4.00.
