I stayed at The Cosmopolitan with friends the weekend to celebrate my 21st birthday. Booking a wraparound terrace suite and a connecting one bedroom suite with the Bellagio view seemed like a very good way to experience Vegas for the first time.
Checking in was quite a story because they had me shuffle around my cards and put the deposit I had back into my bank account for no apparent reason. We finally got our room keys on the 61st floor. The one bedroom suite was available and we were waiting on the connecting wraparound terrace suite. I received a text message that the room was ready but on the 17th floor. I was a bit confused with being on the 61st and the 17th floor when I booked and reserved connecting suites. Get this it wasn't even the Bellagio view that we paid for four months in advance.
I called the front desk to see what was going on and was notified that we can switch from the 61st floor to the 18th and the 17th floor. That was the best they can do, so I took the offer and started gathering my things. I get a phone call in our room about two minutes later saying that we can have both the wraparound terrace suite and the one bedroom suite on the same floor, the 18th. But the the problem still was that we did not have the connecting suites and did not have the Bellagio view we booked four months in advance.
I spoke to the Supervisor of the front desk and told me that this was the best thing he can do and only take $40 a night off our bill. No amenities or anything to accommodate that we were hustling around The Cosmopolitan from floor to floor and we didn't get what we reserved and paid for. My friends and I have come near and far to make this trip possible and didn't go the way it was planned and booked. I will take my stay somewhere else my next trip to Las Vegas.
