I had 1 week to find a home here in Las Vegas, and after having one lined up and having everything ready to go, 2 days before we left the deal fell through. We had to rush to find a new home, and only got a quick look at home that appeared okay at a glance. I was relying on the home inspector to ensure everything was on the up and up - but it appears I was wrong to do so.
After closing and moving cross country to Las Vegas, I noted on the first night that my toilets were leaking - all 3 of them. No hot water in the master bathroom shower. A pool filter with a broken support and cartridges coated in black algae. And the newest addition, an A/C that leaked through the ceiling because the drip pan was too small.
When I called them to report this, there response was everything was working when they were there and these issues just popped up. I have had various technicians come to my home now and they all tell me the same thing - whoever inspected my home shouldn't have a license. Save yourself the trouble and find a professional company to handle your home inspection.
