  • I am not sure whether to review LAVO as a restaurant or as a nightclub. I think, in my opinion, it tanks trying to be both where the food is not all that great and the nightclubish experience is not all that enjoyable. The patio experience can be better as well. I felt that the tables were too close to each other on the patio. I don't want to go in details about my dinner as it was so ordinary that I frankly do not care to remember what I had. It just wasn't memorable. What was memorable was that while we sat at our table on the patio, we noticed that Chewy from the Chelsea Lately show was next to us at a different but larger table. He was surrounded by a couple of very young and pretty girls however the whole thing did not match. It was loud out on the patio and the last thing I wanted to do was to stretch myself and listen to Chewy (the little nugget) having a conversation with his entourage.
