rev:text	I have yet to find Thai in Charlotte that really strikes my fancy, but I did happen to buy a Groupon for this place during one of my Groupon buying binges. A lot of times when a restaurant is offering a Groupon they are either new and trying to gain traction or they are struggling to stay afloat typically because of execution issues. Needless to say my expectations were a bit low. Luckily for me the food was on point! I might be wrong, but I think there used to be a different Thai place here or they had the same name but a very different decor 3-4 years ago, either way the food matched my memory as being delicious. Ordered a few dishes to share family style and had plenty leftover! Red curry, drunken noodles, and sautéed eggplant were the selections of the night. Drunken noodles were really good (5 Thai Spicy) hit the spot, but honestly I prefer the flatter noodles to the chunky ones. Either way still delicious and exactly what I needed carb wise with all this cold weather! The red curry (recommended by our server) honestly left a lot to be desired heavy on the coconut milk and light on the spices and flavor. Eh...not bad, but if you cook curry at home or are experienced in Asian cuisine you won't be impressed. The eggplant was delicious, but I guess I was thinking more eggplant less meat. Admittedly probably my screwed expectations after eating so much awesome eggplant over the past year in China (Yes, I know this is Thai not Chinese, but they do have a sushi bar...so fusion?). Either way, definitely worth checking out the food is great. The service on the other hand could be improved. Asked two different people the specials of the night before getting an answer. Additionally had to waive down the waitress to order drinks other than water. Come on guys, up sell me.... please?!?
