I just want to say first and foremost that I fully support our police here in Phoenix. When I first moved here they saved my life, practically. I was staying in a very bad part of town at a weekly hotel when a violent man was trying to break into my room (mistaking me for someone he has beef with) and they did an excellent job. They were also very courteous. Then the house I was living in was also broken into and they did a great job there and caught the criminal and I will be compensated for my loss.
However recently I made a phone call to the police department for central Phoenix and the woman who answered the phone was extremely rude and kept talking over me. I was reporting a suspicious individual in my apartment complex parking lot. This mas was apparently trying to break into peoples' cars. The police must have not done much because when I went back to the parking lot the man was still there.
I also don't see them patrolling the streets like they should be. I think they should go to high crime areas and patrol them better. Living in Phoenix can be scary because it seems like there are so many criminals and homeless people and not enough cops around.
THE POLICE IN THIS CITY SHOULD DO A MAYOR GIULIANI TYPE OF CLEAN UP TO GET RID OF THE SCUM ON THE STREETS THAT PREY ON INNOCENT PEOPLE.
I honestly would give them 3.5 stars but since it doesn't allow me to do that on this site and since I don't think they quite deserve a 4, I leave it at 3.
