  • Beware of this dentist. He overcharges and double dips on insurance and possibly suggests procedures that are not needed, such as deep cleanings so he can charge the insurance. I was a loyal customer for a few years, driving from Central Phoenix because I trusted him. After both my husband and I were each charged $800 for a crown, not knowing then that our insurance covered it 100%. Once we called to ask for a refund nothing was done and we had to get the insurance company involved. Apparently, Dr. Salem didn't agree with the amount they covered so instead of dealing with the insurance on it, he decided to rip off two loyal customers. I have never had an experience like this and I am very disappointed and hurt by it. My poor husband is terrified of the dentist and now that he has had this experience, he will be very hesitant to go again. Yes, almost a year after the fact, we were both reimbursed but only after countless calls and complaints. I have a new dentist now and have already had a few procedures that were 100% covered. Just more proof that he rips people off! Do not go to this dentist. You will regret it!
