I appreciate Zipps for its un-Scottsdale-like feel despite being right around the corner from the Old Town bar/club scene. Zipps is a solid, down-to-earth place with many food, drink, and seating options, where you don't feel like you're being stared up and down. Mad bonus points for allowing the option of half-and-half when you can't decide between fries and onion rings alongside your burger or sandwich.
I must deduct one star for the pizza-by-the-slice, which reminded me of the frozen pizza you buy at Costco, on account of the completely flavorless dry-ish crust. Plus, the toppings literally slid right off, as though the pizza had been baked and then the toppings were sprinkled on as an afterthought (guess that's how they get away with selling pizza by the slice with any combination of toppings you can think of). All in all, I do like Zipps and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a laid-back happy hour or night out. Just stay away from the pizza.
