  • I first went to see Dr. Rowe on the advice and referral of a friend. The first visit was uneventful with the exception of I was surprised that Dr. Rowe actually performed the teeth cleaning. She used some type of high pressure sonic water pic that was extremely painful. Other than a lack of bedside manner. All was well. She did not bother to introduce herself or ask any questions about my dental health. She just sat down behind me and went to work. Subsequent visits were pretty much the same. On third or fourth visit, she told me that I have three crowns that needed to be replaced for various reasons. Karen, her assistant said she would check and see how much the insurance would pay and before I left, I was told my portion would be about $1,800 and the rest covered by insurance. I told her I would get back with her to make an appointment. Since then I have seen two different dentists who both told me my crowns were fine and did not need replacing. I called a good friend who teaches dentistry at UMC and he referred me to a former student Emily Ishkanian who I am now seeing with a much greater degree of confidence.
