  • This review is long overdue. I have suffered very serious pain for almost all of my adult life due to back and neck injuries I sustained in a car accidents. Since that accident first accident, I have seen over a dozen doctors to try to get to the root of the pain and try to make it more manageable. Being a young guy, apparently no one wants to believe you are truly in pain and they almost seem to enjoy belittling and accusing you of "malingering" which is a load of bs. Dr Thomas Dunn, was the first doctor in my post accident treatment experience to actually listen to me and take the time to help find the source of my pain and offer long term solutions. In my case the damage was extensive, my quality if life was nonexistent. Dr Dunn was extremely honest and made my options very clear and didn't sugarcoat the chance that my surgical options came with huge risks. He was hesitant to operate on someone my age but could see I wasn't going to do well if surgical intervention was not performed. I had 2 sugeries almost back to back about 5 years ago by Dr Dunn. I won't lie, it was the most difficult experience in my entire life. That being said, Dr Dunn and his amazing staff gave me a chance at a life I would have never otherwise had. I have done many things in my life post-operative that neither he or myself could have imagined possible. I owe more than I could ever repay to Dr Dunn, Trish and Rich... The aftercare has been extensive but they have always been there for me no matter what and treat me like I was family. I have never had this experience with doctor or their staff and I can only wish to find doctors for other needs I may have that will even hold a candle to them. As for Desert Ortho itself, they are better than most doctor offices but have their issues at times. They could use more comfortable seating for patients but I would wait on a slab of rock in the summer outside to see Dr Dunn and his staff if I really had to. Thanks again Doc and staff for treating me with respect and getting me back on my feet. You are doing God's work!
