Fountain Hills has the world's fourth tallest fountain. When built in 1970, it was the world's tallest fountain and held that record for over a decade.
I love coming to this park. I normally come late at night or early in the morning to run. Pathway is illuminated, make it easy to run in the dark. There are always runners here, I always felt safe running here alone. It's 1.22 miles around the fountain, not much ups or downs, easy to go around and around.
They offer splash park, disc golf, playgrounds, clean restrooms, ideals for any ages to enjoy this beautiful park. The fountain turns green on the St Patrick's Day.
The area is also a flight path for landing at the SkyHarbor Airport. I like to sit on the right side on the plane to watch the fountain park from the airplane window. When I see this park, I know I am home.
