| - Have you ever had that warm and fuzzy feeling when somebody says they will do something and they do it just like they promised, on time, well, and at a fair price? This was our second such experience with our local Roto-Rooter crew.
In mid-December, 2015, our sewer lateral backed-up. Who you gonna call? Panicked and willing to pay just about anything for someone to promptly come out and resolve the clog, I called Roto-Rooter and they came on time and did an excellent job. In addition, their price was moderate and very fair given our emergency circumstances and mess. (They recommended a lateral cleaning every two years. The service guy made note of that on my invoice as well as a sag in our lateral line and said they would add a reminder to their schedule. "Sure you will," I thought).
Fast forward to earlier this week and a friend of mine is recounting their recent sewer line back-up. That jogged my memory to schedule our two-year maintenance. I called Roto-Rooter this morning and they were able to fit me in earlier this afternoon. To my surprise and admiration, they indeed had all of the notes from their earlier visit about the sagging line and noted that they were scheduled to call me shortly. They even made a point to be sure the service professional had and reviewed it when he arrived so he knew the whole deal and circumstances with our pipe. Wowza!
Right on time, the uniformed service pro appeared and got to work. Less than an hour later, he was done and our line is spic and span. Adjectives to describe the technician? Pleasant, professional, knowledgeable, efficient, thoughtful, communicative and friendly, all come to mind.
As with our first experience, he wrote out an invoice with all the details. You should pay right then with a credit card or check. They will even bill you, if you prefer. Also, their price is remains very reasonable and fair given the nature of the work and their professional service.
I highly recommend this RR office. At first blush, you would not ascribe a whole lot of professional service, good attitudes or skill with someone or a company which cleans sewer drains and is elbow deep in poop all day, everyday working with shocked, tired, frustrated, annoyed and disgusted people at all hours of the day. But you should when it comes to Roto-Rooter. I don't know how they do it. They provide good and fairly priced professional services in challenging situations with a smile.
They are real professionals and should be referred to as service professionals. Many other service providers - - doctors, lawyers and accountants included, could learn a lot from how this Roto-Rooter office handles its business and its clients. Good for them!

Five strong Yelp stars. Call them in an emergency. Better yet, call them to try and avoid an emergency. That our proctologists would do as well. Ahem.
