We have had great experiences at Craig road making it worth the 45 minute drive for us. I dog sit with rover and have referred all of my clients there as well. HOWEVER this last trip I brought in my lab to be spayed. I opted to upgrade and do the more expensive minimally invasive procedure I was told recovery was faster. GREAT! I woke up at 7 am started my trek down expecting the total to be $400 as I was quoted over the phone. We go through an exam and then I am handed a sheet of paper for almost $700! For a SPAY! Almost $300 over what I was told it would be. I did add in $30 worth of extra vaccinations last minute so I expected it to be around $430-$450. Imagine my surprise when the bill jumped up over $200 from what I was told. This was due to my lab being over 5. However when I booked my appt I was asked how old my lab was, how much she weighed etc. If they charge an extra $200 for older dogs why was I not told this ahead of time? Why waste my time? Why give such a low estimate knowing it's going to be hundreds more!? Why upset a loyal customer that refers everyone and drives a long stretch to come and see you with so many other options in town? They get one star for the awesome front office staff and they get another for past experiences and being clean. However the sorry we don't care attitude I received today was enough for me to not come back. My advice? Look elsewhere unless you like hidden fees. There are great vets in town!
