After seeing the Christmas Market hype on Facebook I made the arrangements to head down to Toronto to explore.
First of all, I was expecting it to have more of a St. Jacob's vibe in the heart of the city. Unfortunately the vendors were quite limited and pretty expensive for my budget. A lot of the market was based around different stores in the Distillery District that I am way too poor to afford.
At one point we were turned away from a store because there were too many people in the store, only to watch the same employee let 6 people (bigger than our group) into the store without anyone leaving. Sadly, this store likely would've gotten our business had they not turned us away.
We opted to go on a Saturday and it was insanely busy. We were constantly pushing past people to walk and get around. Because it was so busy we were unable to enjoy the beer garden (and the mulled wine).
The only highlights included the chimney stacks (get one, they're amazing) and the adorable decorations throughout the market.
Next year I will definitely choose the One of a Kind Craft Show and the PC Insiders Boutique (if it returns).
