Great food at a good price, when it arrives. The servers can be so involved chatting with their friends that you sit for ages before even getting a menu. A few years ago, they changed the menu and turned what had been a remarkable liver dish, done the old fashioned way, into "liver diabolo". The once subtle, tender liver had suddenly become overpowered by a too-spicy tomato sauce. I complained, asking why they'd ruin what had been a really great liver entree. I had been a patron for some years. The owner told me "the food is fine, you're just hard to please". I couldn't bring myself to go back for 4 years. I returned a few weeks ago, and noticed...they'd put the old liver dish back on the menu.
But ever since being told I was hard to please, I find it difficult to return. I doubt I'll be back again for a very long while.
