I dropped by the Grand Lux Cafe around midnight, after arriving at my hotel about an hour earlier by car. For the people working a graveyard shift, the wait-staff was surprisingly spunky. My server was courteous, fast, and helpful in deciphering the large and overwhelmingly tantalizing menu.
I finally settled on a salmon steak, and was not disappointed. It was well cooked and tasty. That said, the dish could hardly be described as a religious experience, but, then, I think my taste-buds were probably already half-dead from too much driving and not enough sleep.
This is definitely a good place for a classy late-night bite.
