| - II reserved my room months ago. I have a bathtub and high floor as part of my standing requests wit Caesars' hotels. I was given a room with the shower only, but the view was good. It was given to me "for my birthday",not because I am Platinum and my boyfriend is Diamond in rewards status. As this trip was to celebrate my birthday with my son, I chose this hotel over other hotels due to the pools.
I let the front desk know that I wanted a bathtub. Unfortunately they did not have anything with a decent view and the bathtub. This highly unfortunate for those of us raised in Europe and others who prefer baths over showers. The front desk associate said that she would see what could be done. I am over 2/3 of the way to Diamond status myself, and they could not give us a room upgrade for our patronage or my birthday. Boyfriend was already pushing to drop Caesars and go to the M-life casinos more often. This made us both angry, as our privileges have been cut drastically.
Our room had a great view, and very persistent housekeeping. However the wallpaper is peeling from the entrance of the bathroom, and the bathroom door does not slide closed completely. The handle was also falling off the door. Beware if you flush the toilet it will not flush again for another 2 to 3 minutes.
In a city where nothing closes, the pool at this hotel closes at 6 PM and the water slides close at 5:30 PM, and are open only seasonally and on weekends. Apparently 110 degrees on a Wednesday does not warrant the slides to be open. Part of the water slide area has been given to the adult area. Uncool. No one can use the slide as there is no access to it. To make matters worse, there is a temporary iron barrier that is not bolted down. First day I saw this fall on someone as they snuck under. The lifeguard at the end, in the adult area sent the teen girl back. It actually fell on her as she was going under it. The second time I went to the pool it did not go as smoothly. A teenage boy went under the barrier and pulled it down on the foot on one of the mothers in the area. We requested her ice. They should have offered it before being asked. They did not offer her a chair. Apparently chairs and small containers of eye drops are dangerous but slippery steps and walkways and falling barriers are safe.
Another major issue for the any age pool is the stairs to the slide and down to the pools have no nonslip surface. They are extremely slippery when wet. I slid and dropped my cell phone. Fortunately they cover protected and it popped off only leaving myself and my phone wet.
On the first trip down to the pool my eyes watered and burned from the chlorine. The second time I went to the pool a security guard would not let me in the pool with my 1/2 oz. bottle of dry eye tears. I have dry sensitive eyes.
I have not stayed at the hotel in a couple years, but we use the Margaritaville craps table the most. I don't think I will be coming back to this hotel anytime soon, as there are other Caesars hotels that are much better in regard to quality of rooms, management, pools and customer service.
