| - Green Grotto is definitely a nice place to sit down and chat with friends.I would not recommend studying here though because it gets a bit loud and there's a 3-hour seating limit.
What I really liked about this place is the decor, board games that were available, servers were almost always available, the free WiFi, and complimentary popcorn! I've been to a lot of bubble tea places, and this is the first one that offers popcorn. My friends and I were able to get another bowl as well, and there were no complications with this.
Green Grotto has a variety of drinks and food items on the menu. I initially wanted to order the Vanilla Latte Freeze, which was one of their newer drinks. However, they ran out of vanilla, so I was pretty disappointed. I decided to get the Taro Milk Freeze. I'm not a big fan of thicker drinks, so I was not too impressed with the Taro Milk Freeze. There were only taro bits at the very bottom, and felt like I was drinking thickened cream. However, my friend got the Taro Smoothie, and it's her all-time favourite, so this might be a good drink to try next time. Green Grotto's #1 drink is supposedly the Hokkaido Milk Tea. Not everyone would be a big fan of it because it has a stronger tea flavour, whereas the regular milk tea is sweeter. I was pretty unimpressed to see that the cakes are $5.49 a slice. However, compared to Go For Tea, which is in the same plaza, this is actually a lot cheaper already.
Overall, I would come back again because it's a nice place where you can just catch up with friends, and the drinks are pretty unique.
