| - Visited Omnia last weekend (April 25) for my early birthday celebration. I was excited to visit the latest [fancy] night club in Vegas yet and the experience was a let down.
Lots of Yelpers have revealed the goods and pros of Omnia, here's nothing else I would add. When we got there at 10:30pm, the line was ridiculously long -- it extended to the outside of the casino and went almost a round trip. It looked like an one-hour wait at least for the guestlist line. Unfortunately the Vegas weather wasn't at its best -- 50 degrees with all the chilling and tremble people in the wind.
We were lucky because we were under the Staff Guestlist and it only took us 5 mins to get in. I have to admit that Omnia is by far the fanciest night club in Vegas yet, we went to explore right away but got lost since it's too big. We went up to the rooftop where you can see the gorgeous Strip view, however it was so freaking cold and surprisingly there weren't any heat lamp outside. The music was great but it was too cold to hang around.
We went back to the main floor and everything was so dark. Got to dance at the main floor before it got packed. Ordered a few drinks and the price was average Vegas-fancy-club price. The hallways was a killer when it came to people flocking both ways -- my friends got pushed to the edge of the wall and they almost couldn't breathe; one of them got the life-movie playing in her head and felt like she might die. That was the rush for couple minutes, I don't know if it happens all the time. Lots of stairs, yet not to be compared with the Greatest Stair Club -- oh, I mean Hakkasan -- the layout was similar to Hakkasan tho, after all, they all belong to the same management group.
i had a mix feeling about Omnia. Yes, it's gorgeous; yes, it's beautiful; yes, it has the moving-crazy-ufo-like LED lights. There's no where to sit, ouch, not heels-friendly. Sure, let's do flats. Wait, who wears flats in the so-called upscale club in Vegas? Nearly impossible. I guess Omnia and I are just not clicking for now. One sad thing -- I couldn't find the hip hop room, instead, I got lost in the crowd. Blame to no one. Overall, impressed not impressed.
