I wanted to give this place 3.5 stars. A lot of people have given this hotel poor reviews but we had no problems during our stay. When we arrived we had a very concise and helpful receptionist who made last minute changes to our reservation in regards to the beds and requesting a renovated room. Despite how populated the hotel was and for being the largest hotel in Toronto, we never had problems getting an elevator. The concierge was very helpful and already had pre-printed directions to various sites, in addition to select discounts. Although the parking is high at $27/day, you'll find during your stay in Toronto that parking is high everywhere. If you park at Ryerson bookstore like someone else has mentioned, you'll get an extra overnight fee if you don't leave by 7am. Parking meters around town will run you anywhere from $2-3.50 an hour. Atleast the hotel's parking grants you unlimited in and out service. I know some of the other hotels in the area charge $30-40 for this comparable feature. We stayed for 4 nights. The listed prices for this place are fairly high, but if you Priceline it, it's decent.
Before leaving we were able to check out the indoor slide in the Family Zone and we thoroughly enoyed it. Mini theme park ride that drops into 4ft of water- what other hotel can you find that in?! If this is not your thing, they also have a separate pool for 'adults' but this waterslide is worth checking out.
P.S. If you're lucky you'll be able to catch the internet for free like we did. Request a room close to the business floor (2nd).
