| - The Embassy Suites has a lot of great areas. For example, the breakfast is really fantastic. The omelets are delicious and individually prepared for each person.
The staff is amazing. In fact, every single employee at Embassy Suites was wonderful. We could not have asked for more pleasant and helpful people.
The front desk staff was always courteous and helpful. We were very pleased with their professionalism.
The hotel is smoke free, and I love that. It's hard to escape cigarette smoke in Las Vegas, but Embassy Suites has a wonderful smoke free environment.
Parking is wonderful. We could park very close to the front door and even see our car from our room. We were in 401 and had a small balcony a view of the strip.
The location is great if you have a vehicle. If you don't have a vehicle, then you might consider staying closer to the strip.
Unfortunately, there are a few areas that definitely need improvement at Embassy Suites.
Housekeeping was not good. We had placed a "Request on Arrival" order for two additional bath towels. They were not in the room when we arrived.
After our first night, we were not provided with any bath towels or toilet paper. We had to contact the front desk to receive what we needed.
After our third night, our room wasn't even cleaned. All of the dirty dishes and wet towels were in the same spot we left them 8 or 10 hours earlier. I reported this to the front desk. Instead of offering to have the room cleaned, I was advised that anything we needed would be sent up promptly. We needed towels and toilet paper, and they were sent up to us in less than 5 minutes. (Was there no one available to clean the room at night?)
After our fourth night, our room was well cleaned but we were not provided with enough toilet paper. We had to use tissues to get through the night.
Overall, the hotel shows lots of signs of wear. Renovation is badly needed. The bathtub is extremely difficult to use because of how it is made. There are gaps in parts of the wall such as between the refrigerator and the wall and floor. It just looks very well worn.
I will also report an issue that is probably not an issue with this hotel. Instead, it is probably an issue with the Hilton Honors program. We had an automobile accident on the way to the airport and missed our flight. There were no other flights with seats available that day. That delayed our vacation. We attempted to change our reservation, but we were told that it was too late to make any adjustments. That simply does not seem fair. I had to forfeit 30,000 Hilton Honors Points even though I gave ample notice that we would not be there. The hotel was not full, so this did not cause any loss of business. How is it fair to keep my points? I understand that policies exist, but this is an unfair policy. After all, the hotel received about 36 hours of notice that we would not be there. I really expect better from Hilton properties and Hilton customer service.
